According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, this is the definition of the word, miracle: "an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs." Go ahead, ask anyone what time it is. Ask an alien, a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, an atheist, a paleontologist, an anthropologist, a communist - it doesn't matter - everyone would look at their watch or preferred time telling device and give you the same time: the time according to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ask the date, and if given properly, it would include, of course, A.D. (After Death); even paleontologists who date fossils and bones would quote the time by adding B.C. (Before Christ) at the end of their dating calculations. The life of dinosaurs is marked by the life of Christ – go figure. What do the Darwinian followers think about that? Come to think of it, Charles Darwin himself would have given the time, if asked, according to the life of Christ. We take this for granted but think about it seriously for a moment. One man walked this earth over two thousand years ago, preached and prayed and performed miracles for only three short years of his life, and yet here we are, over two thousand years later marking the time and events of human existence according to his existence. Could there be a more profound achievement in one’s life? No matter how rich you are, how powerful, how famous, how inventive, how intelligent, how creative, how gifted – there is nothing you could do or become that would surpass the achievement of having the time clock of humanity set by your existence on earth. Talk about a miracle. Click "Read More" to the right to continue.... (Image above: A digital mix of my painting on canvas, “The Crown” and photography of a clock face.)
Every birth, death, anniversary, job interview, bomb dropped, oil well drilled - every date possible marked and recorded using the time and date is made according to the life of Christ. Like his life is a compass to our lives in so many ways, morally, spiritually – he is also our time compass. Simply astounding. If someone walked up to you today and said in the future all time would be marked and recorded for the rest of human history by their presence and passing from this earth, well, that would be too sad to even laugh about. It would be considered an impossible task and one only conceptualized by madmen. Yet, one man did achieve that very thing - and he didn't try to do it nor did he ask for it to be done in his honour; it was just meant to be. Each time (can't possibly escape the pun) that time is quoted or written down in a notebook or recorded in any way it is part of a legacy, a gift, a miracle from Christ reoccurring throughout our daily lives more times than we can count. The time of Christ sees no boundaries, no ethnic challenges, no faith based alterations; wherever you go on this planet time is marked by the passing of the Christian savior. Time, how we measure it, is a gift from Christ to us all. It is an extraordinary event, a divine act that impacts humanity with every tick of the clock. Jesus Time, therefore, is a miracle of Christ that is being performed right now and has been happening for well over two thousand years.
